Everyday, first responders put their own lives at risk to help individuals, families, and communities. They experience frontline tragical issues, such as accidents, deaths, murders, etc. In Canada, according to the Tema Conter Memorial Trust, ‘’PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, is a very real phenomenon facing over 20% of all First Responders’’ (CASP, 2016).
Health data are useful to get insights about the individual’s vitals. Hexoskin provides the physiological data, which gives an easy access to the vital signs information in order to determine the appropriate prevention solutions. Hexoskin can measure and report in real-time, high-level actionable data such as readiness information; remote dashboard for command center; focus and cognitive assessment; stress and fatigue monitoring; mood status monitoring; energy expenditure and metabolism monitoring.

The Hexoskin open-data platform enables the development of new digital markers, third-party device integration, ePROs, artificial intelligence and application-specific development.
In order to meet clinical trial development requirements, Hexoskin works in partnership with pharma and biotechs to design efficient protocols for continuous patient monitoring. Clinical areas of interest include those with a need for longitudinal studies in cardiology, respiratory, sleep, CNS, activity, stress, mental illness, etc.
The Hexoskin software research platform is designed to generate continuous health data for the development of Artificial Intelligence (machine learning) algorithms for chronic diseases management. Hexoskin also offers AI and data science services to pharma and biotech companies.
The Department of Homeland Security and Grant County Sheriff’s Office recently tested new technologies for first responders in diverse emergency scenarios in the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington state. Some first responders participating in the program are using Hexoskin to monitor their vitals and their data are transmitted to the command center using smartphones. The Free Flight Physiology Project Team in Karakorum, Pakistan is using Hexoskin to monitor their vitals when they fly over the countryside. Dr Matt Wilkes and this team from the Centre for Altitude, Space and Extreme Environment Medicine from the Institute of Sport Exercise & Heath (London, UK) are getting their gear ready for the Red Bull paragliding team later this year, but also to conduct serious research on physiology in altitude. They also took amazing pictures and video of their experience!
Here's more information about their project:
We've worked with smartwatch makers Pebble, Neptune Pine, and oMate in the past, and NOW, we have the opportunity to be a part of this revolution with the Apple Watch. Last September when we heard the big news about Apple launching their watch, we knew it would be legendary, just because it’s Apple! Now a few months after their official launch, with more than 2.8 million Apple Watches sold, it already outnumbers all other smartwatches and sport watches on the market and we are on board right along with them!
Today, the same day the Apple Watch is made available in stores, we're launching an app update that will allow you to read your body metrics measured by your Hexoskin smart shirt on your Apple Watch. A glance at your wrist now closes the feedback loop between body and mind.
At Hexoskin we were the first to make smart clothing compatible with iPhones and iPads, today we're proud to offer you the best smart shirt for your Apple Watch.
Stay in your zone, keep your pace, and enjoy the summer outside with your Hexoskin smart shirt and your Apple Watch!
Last August, The Atlantic's creative marketing group Atlantic Re:think organized a venue with Porsche and a few very special guests. The idea was to present the new Porsche Macan to these VIPs, record their emotions during the thrill drive and then turn that data into art. Hexoskin's smart shirt was used to collect biometric data from the guests, the folks from TRAQs did their magic with the data and Sosolimited, a digital design studio, turned all this into beautiful art. Teamwork!
